Mr D...how goes it? Just happened to be on here and saw you just got set up. Hope you are well. I've enjoyed your tutorials on the site..and elsewhere. Thanks for your work with that. Okay..just checkin' in! Welcome!
Hi Nick, great to see you on here, as always, love your site, info, your fantastic trumpet playing and teaching techniques, great chops bro, everything you do! You're awesome, say hi when you can and if you anytime you are in the northwest, let me know, would be fun to hang. Take care, stay in touch!

Thanks, Nick. Glad you liked the pics. Would love your thoughts on the clips I have up. This is the first time I've taken (or had) the opportunity to put anything up, so it's kinda fun. I am enjoying listening to the other folks on this site. Some really cool sounds.
Nick,
Great to hear from you.......man , I totally understand all aboout the madness at the end of the school year....I just finished up at Purchase College.....finals, concerts, reading through masters thesis'....but HS is so much more intense. I don't know how you're able to keep both worlds together.
Again...I love your website...very inspiring!!!
PeaceRV
Nick, I'm also a public school teacher and I'm wrapping up a DM at IU. I took the sabbatical (year of residency), as well as four summers away in Bloomington. With three young sons, I owe my wife everything for her sacrifice (the family went to IU only for one summer). I'm not finished, but I'm a qualifying exam and dissertation away. It was once just a dream for me, too. But after having kids, I realized that I'm enormously patient. And persistent. BTW, I've listened to your clips on YOUTUBE and elsewhere and I'm quite impressed. Best, John in NC
Nick,
Greetings, this is the first time I ever had a chance to check out your playing---real nice! I know from experience that keeping your sound consistent in all registers is a challenge, you definitely have it nailed. I could never play a John Lynch mouthpiece, tried the lead 342 but it just never clicked (I even turned it around in case I was missing something ;) Again, really enjoyed your playing---the MF band back in the day must have been a blast (Stan Marks is a trip, played with him when he had the Dorsey band).
Cheers, Jason
I really appreciate you taking the time to listen....and, of course, respond. Thanks for the nice comments. Nope...not on MySpace. I sent some of this to Felix a couple of years ago and perhaps he shared this with you. Who knows. Anyway.. thanks again for the comments. One of the humble things you like to say from time to time..."for what it's worth, coming from me"...well, that's worth a ton in my book. Best to you, sir...
