Just ordered from Jason and should be here in about 5 weeks or so. I know about Jasons work through reading another forum called the "Trumpetherald" and I had Jason modify my Yamaha 631 that I have had since high School. My biggest mistake in this idea however is that I decided to do a flugel horn first instead of a trumpet because I rarely get to play it on my present gigs. I do break it out for jazz though and it really sings with a darkness and warmth that I have heard from very few flugel horns. I swore that if I got the money together i would go after one of his trumpets and finally I did. I will update when I receive it but for now my trumpet of choice is a 1947 Martin Committee large bore (#3) and I use it for pretty much everything except classical. On Classical I use my Courtois Bb and C trumpets because they blend better in that style than the Martin does. Perhaps the Bravura will fit in all styles and then I can sale the Bb Courtois to get some money back for the Brush gold plating I want. One can hope right?

#4 lead pipe, round tuning slide, #3 bell. I choose this configuration with Jason's guidance based on the style music i play as well as what type of trumpets I was accustomed to. Had I done more lead playing with say a Large Jazz band I might have went with the lightweight version with the #1 pipe and #1 bell. This horn will be primarily used for jazz combo and some lead. The 4,3 fit the bill.

Hey. What bell leadpipe combination will be your bravura?
