Hello I'm Marek
First I want to Welcome you to my trumpetcity page. Thanks for stopping by and I hope that you will find it enjoyable.
I was born in Krakow, Poland where I started to play the piano in the age of 6 and then switched to trumpet in the age of 12 . My first trumpet was made in Poland. Second Amati Made in Czech. Finally in 1989 my father Edward-trombonist bought me the Bach Stradivarius (Big thanks to Isi Rudnick also trombonist and Trumpeter John Korak from Texas whom I met in Poland for help with getting that wonderful horn).
I attended "I.J. Paderewski" Primary School of Music in Krakow, "Frederic Chopin" Secondary School of Music in Krakow and Academy of Music in Krakow. My major was Music Performance (Classical Trumpet).I graduated and received "Title of Master of Arts" in 1996. I also studied jazz at Jazz Department of Academy of Music in Katowice following by studies at Berklee College of Music.
During my studies I cooperated with organist Marek Stefanski. We were giving performances around Poland and abroad Recorded for Radio Stations and TV, and also recorded two CD`s entitled "Baroque Music for Trumpet and Organ"
I always liked to play / improvise along with the records and that`s why I guess the JAZZ become my second nature.

I currently play Edwards Generation III trumpet which lets me express myself the way I have never been able to do so ever before.
