My association with the band come long after you and the others had left. I did a brief stint just before he left for Africa to do "Soul to Soul" and returned later at the urging of Crusher Green. As Crusher told the story it was Wilson that named him crusher because of how hard he hit the drums! I was not there and in this day and time, does not matter. I was blessed to pick up the leadership of the band in Crushers passing and held it together until Wilson's passing carrying on the tradition of all those who came before us. Wilson named us his "Bad Assed Band The Midnight Movers" And that is how we were always introduced. Every good bands purpose is to entertain and support the main artist, in this case "Wilson Pickett". I will always cherish the memories and great music that we played and the many places all over the world that we traveled. Right now my interests are much more diversified in the music genre. Mentoring youth,playing Jazz,R&B, and with a 21 piece big band, and a Motown Revue band thats probably the best in the country right now. Not to mention a new Jazz Single released on Tunes, and Amazon. I do however miss playing the hits of Pickett. So I know you're the trumpet player leader of the midnight movers, but call a brother sometime and let me jam.
