'custom' work - see my questions below...
My situation:
I have 2 newer horns = Romeo Adaci Referenz Bb and Lawler TLFL (flugel) that both have what I consider to be 'temperamental' valves. I did (what I consider normal) break-in cleanings / wipin...
Hey Blaine,
I have been collecting and using Aebersold material for a long time. I have Miles, two Dukes, Hubbard, Jobim, Body and Soul, Aebersold 1, 2, and 3 and Clifford brown which was taken of their list. Glad I bought that. I guess I have got to learn to program a keyboard for the rest.
Blaine,
Yep, I'm the one. Glad to see you're doing well and still at it. We're looking forward to our chance in the Swamp this weekend. If our D-Linemen could keep from being quoted in the paper it might help.
I'm still trying to play some high notes. Some nights they are higher than others, but I'm staying pretty busy.

1= Hearing my trumpet instructor, Michael Denovchek of the Cincinnati Symphony for 37+ years, play at lessons for 6 years until his passing in '79. 2= Meeting and chatting with Doc Severinsen after a concert with the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra. Wonderful man & fantastic player. 3= attending a Maurice Andre concert in Lexington, KY around 1983 - he didn't miss 1 note all night and was amazing! His legato tonguing was so smooth, it was like instant tone without any attack at all. Sounded like dripping ice cream.
Personal trumpet aspiration:
To exalt God....if someone decides to join me, that is cool.
About Me:
I've been playing trumpet now for over 35 years. I think everyone has gifts and talents in life and I'm glad that one of mine is playing music. I am thankful for this gift and don't ever want to bury it or ignore it. I enjoy playing all types of music, but always desire it to be something that magnifies God because most of my best moments in life have involved worshiping Him. I hope that my music can help others draw closer to Him too.
* My main equipment: Romeo Adaci Referenz Bb, Lawler TLFL, Marcinkiewicz Proline & TurboBore mouthpieces.
Interests:
Beside what I've already stated... music, cars, music in cars... I like fine Swiss watches too and scooters (with motors)!
Heroes:
Ultimate hero = Jesus. Other heroes: my dad, every US soldier. Trumpet heroes: Rick Braun, Phil Driscoll, MF, Arturo Sandoval, Al Vizzutti, Jeff Tyzik, Doc Severinsen, Chuck Mangione and countless other trumpeters as well as musicians that don't play trumpet...

Hope you enjoy.

what program do you use for the background of your songs? Listening to you has made me want to try and record some tracks.
