The day Jason got frustrated and proclaimed that if no one else would build the trumpet he wanted to play, he would do it himself. It's been a roller coaster ride ever since. His enthusiasm and passion for his music and his craft have skyrocketed ever since that day. So it's not actually my experience, but I am a very proud mother thrilled that her son has found so much love for his chosen path in life.
Musicians who have inspired me...
To be a better informed member of the audience and to know how to appreciate the hard work of the musicians that create the music I love.
I am not a musician of any sort, but I love music. My piano playing days were pathetic to say the least. My son however has a passion for music that overflows to everyone he meets. I have had a blessed life enjoying the product of Jason's skill, passion and creativity. I miss hearing his music filling my house and our neighborhood.
How about if I dig through my photo albums...you know those things we used to hold pictures printed on paper before digital, pictures on air, came about. I'm sure I have one of you whining because you didn't want to practice your trumpet! :)
I think your son is a genius. His research will be in the music history books. I am the proud owner of three of his instruments and will get his flugelhorn next week, to make four. You must have been a very inspiring parent. Best wishes, Charles
